How to clear immigration at International airport

Students who are going abroad to study MBBS are very keen to know about the procedure of immigration and airport clearance. As most of  the students are travelling abroad for the very first time and their longway journey is the first hurdle in front of them.

Firstly , it is suggested that students should be calm and they should not panic in any situation while travelling.

Following below are the steps in which you can clear your immigration easily.

Make sure that you carry your complete documents with you in your hand bag like

  1. PASSPORT
  2. ADMISSION LETTER
  3. TICKET  ( these are the documents which can be asked at anytime during your immigration process )

Step 1 - At first when you reach the airport,  the guard will check your passport and your ticket at the main entrance ( Your passport should be valid and you must have the air ticket of the same day you went to the airport  ) .

After complete verification, the guard will allow you to go inside the airport perimeter.

Step 2-  You need to check the counter of your airline (Airline in which you have booked your ticket β€œ All the airlines have different counters for check-in ”) and there you need to check-in.

Once you reach your counter the first thing is your luggage weight . Make sure , you must carry up to the weight mentioned in the ticket or else you need to pay a huge amount for the extra weight you want to carry.

LUGGAGE and CABIN bags are two different bags . While getting your boarding pass you need to weigh your luggage bag and later for the cabin bag you need to check in once you will clear your immigration.

ONLINE CHECK IN OFFLINE CHECK IN
You can check in online  from your home and can get boarding

You must be present inside airport and

All the process will be done in offline mode

When you are done with luggage weight then the counter person will provide you Boarding pass.

Students should keep in mind there is a slight difference in a few cases while getting your boarding pass.

BOARDING PASS AT ONCEBOARDING PASS TWICE

If you have a connecting flight , it might be possible that you will have only one boarding pass till your final destination.

E.g If you are travelling from Delhi to Moscow ( Russia ) through a connecting flight . Then you will have a single boarding pass till your destination.

Some of the countries and airlines required

Twice boarding pass.

E.g If you are travelling from Delhi to Moscow ( Russia ) through a connecting flight and your halt is at Dubai (UAE). Then at first the airline will provide you with a boarding pass till Dubai and there you need to check in again with your luggage to board the connecting flight.

Step 3 - You need to take your boarding pass and move forward towards IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT. ( Airport  boarding  authority will allot a seat for you along with mentioning your final destination in the same  )

Step 4 - It is the most typical stage for few students as the Immigration department is a little bit tough sometimes .

At Immigration the very first thing they will ask you to show your passport , visa and in few cases admission letter as well.

If they have any doubt on any students then a few questions related to your visa might be raised by the officers and if you give answers calmly and correctly then you can clear your immigration easily.

Once you will clear your immigration then they will put a stamp on your visa and ask you to move further.

Step 5-  After immigration clearance you reach the check in counter ( this time for  your cabin bag ). Make  sure you have a cabin bag with weight mentioned in your ticket or else you have to throw your belonginnings .

After all the steps you will be  at Duty - free from where you can easily take any item you want because these items will not be included in luggage weight.

Step 6- Here you need to sit for at least half an hour near the counter of your airline. You will hear an announcement that you can board your flight and you are ready to fly to your destination.

Top Mistakes to Avoid in NEET 2024 Preparation...

The journey to becoming a doctor, whether through NEET in India or pursuing MBBS Abroad, is undoubtedly challenging. While dedication and hard work are essential, avoiding common pitfalls can be the difference between securing that coveted medical seat and facing disappointment. So, for all aspiring NEET warriors, here's a guide to the top mistakes you must avoid and the tactics to rectify them:

1. Lack of a Structured Plan:

Mistake: Jumping into preparation without a well-defined plan leads to confusion, inconsistency, and ultimately, wasted effort.

Fix: Craft a personalized timetable that allocates dedicated time slots for each subject, factoring in your strengths, weaknesses, and the syllabus weightage. Regularly review and update your plan to ensure it aligns with your progress.

2. Juggling Too Many Resources:

Mistake: Overwhelming yourself with a plethora of books, notes, and online materials can lead to information overload and impede efficient learning.

Fix: Stick to a few high-quality resources, including NCERT textbooks and reference books recommended by trusted sources. Prioritize understanding over memorization, and supplement your learning with online resources like video tutorials and practice questions.

3. Neglecting Mock Tests and Analysis:

Mistake: Solely focusing on theoretical learning without simulating the actual exam environment can be detrimental. Ignoring mock test analysis deprives you of valuable insights into your performance.

Fix: Regularly take mock tests under timed conditions, mimicking the actual exam format. Analyze your performance meticulously, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and work on improving your speed and accuracy.

4. Ignoring Difficult Topics:

Mistake: Procrastinating on challenging topics or simply skipping them altogether leaves gaps in your knowledge and can cost you valuable marks in the exam.

Fix: Acknowledge that every topic has its importance, and dedicate specific time slots to tackle challenging concepts. Seek guidance from teachers or online resources to break down complex topics into simpler, more comprehensible units.

5. Underestimating Negative Marking:

Mistake: Ignoring the consequences of incorrect answers can lead to careless attempts and unnecessary deductions in your score.

Fix: Understand the concept of negative marking and practice cautious decision-making during mock tests. Develop the ability to identify questions you're unsure about and skip them strategically to avoid losing marks.

6. Neglecting Doubt Clarification:

Mistake: Accumulating doubts and failing to seek clarification can lead to confusion and hamper your understanding of key concepts.

Fix: Don't hesitate to ask your teachers, classmates, or online communities for help whenever you encounter a doubt. Clarifying your understanding early on will prevent future struggles and solidify your knowledge.

7. Prioritizing Quantity Over Quality:

Mistake: Obsessively completing volumes of practice questions without adequate revision or analysis can lead to superficial learning.

Fix: Focus on understanding the underlying principles behind each question rather than simply solving them for the sake of completion. Revisit challenging questions regularly to solidify your grasp of the concepts.

8. Ignoring Your Physical and Mental Wellbeing:

Mistake: Neglecting your health and well-being during preparation can lead to burnout, stress, and decreased productivity.

Fix: Prioritize healthy sleep patterns, regular exercise, and a balanced diet. Practice stress-management techniques like meditation or deep breathing to maintain your mental and emotional balance.

9. Comparing Yourself to Others:

Mistake: Constantly comparing your progress to others can lead to negativity, demotivation, and unnecessary pressure.

Fix: Focus on your own journey, celebrate your individual milestones, and avoid comparing your pace to others. Remember, every aspirant has their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and your path to success may be different from theirs.

10. Giving Up Easily:

Mistake: Discouragement and setbacks are inevitable during the preparation process. Letting them defeat you will hinder your progress.

Fix: Develop a resilient mindset, learn from your mistakes, and keep pushing forward. Stay motivated by visualizing your goals, seeking encouragement from your support system, and reminding yourself of your potential.

Conclusion:

Cracking NEET remains a challenging but achievable goal, opening doors to prestigious medical colleges in India and Abroad. However, it's not the only path to becoming a doctor. Studying MBBS Abroad can be an equally promising route, offering unique opportunities and potentially less competition. Remember, the key to success lies in a well-defined strategy, consistent effort, and a positive attitude, regardless of your chosen path. So, start your preparation with a clear vision, a focused plan, and the unwavering belief in your ability to achieve your medical dream, whether in India or abroad!

NEET 2024 Syllabus Changes: What's Included and What's...

Aspiring medical professionals, mark your calendars! The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024 is just around the corner, and with it comes a revised syllabus. While the core structure remains the same, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has implemented some key changes, aiming to streamline the content and align it with evolving trends in medical education. Let's dive into the specifics of what's included and excluded in the NEET 2024 syllabus, helping you strategize your preparation for the ultimate gateway to your medical dreams.

Overall Reduction and Refocusing:

The most notable change is the reduction in the overall number of chapters. From 97 chapters in the previous year, the syllabus now encompasses 79, spread across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This doesn't necessarily mean less content; instead, it reflects a focus on core concepts and the removal of overlapping or less relevant topics. This streamlining aims to reduce student burden and allow for deeper understanding of key areas.

Subject-wise Breakdown:

  • Physics: Concepts like "Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory" and "Ray Optics - Spherical Mirrors" have been removed, while "Electrostatics - Potential and Electric Field" and "Magnetic Effects of Current" have received greater emphasis. • Chemistry: The updated syllabus welcomes the return of "Structure of Atom - Bohr Model" and the addition of "Kossel - Lewis Approach to Chemical Bond Formation." Meanwhile, topics like "Metallurgy" and "Emulsions and Colloids" have been excluded. This revision underscores the importance of foundational chemical concepts and their role in understanding various bonding mechanisms.
  • Biology: The biology syllabus witnesses the removal of chapters like "Digestion and Absorption" and "Reproduction in Organisms," while "Plant Kingdom" and "Animal Kingdom" have been restructured for improved clarity. This change reflects the NMC's focus on ecological principles, evolutionary biology, and a deeper understanding of life forms.

Beyond the Excluded:

It's crucial to remember that the excluded topics aren't entirely irrelevant. They might still be included in NCERT textbooks or appear in state board exams. While you may not need them for NEET specifically, staying familiar with them can offer a broader perspective and strengthen your overall understanding of scientific concepts.

Embracing the Change:

The revised syllabus presents both challenges and opportunities. While adapting to the changes requires flexibility and strategic planning, it also opens doors to a more focused and efficient preparation journey. Here are some tips to navigate the new syllabus effectively:

  • Thorough analysis: Download the official syllabus document from the NMC website and carefully analyze the changes. Mark the excluded topics and identify the newly included ones.
  • Resource re-evaluation: Assess your study materials and ensure they align with the updated syllabus. Supplement your existing resources with updated books, practice papers, and online resources that reflect the revised content.
  • Prioritization is key: Don't get overwhelmed by the changes. Prioritize the core concepts and newly included topics. Allocate more time and effort to areas that require deeper understanding.
  • Embrace flexibility: Be prepared to adapt your study schedule and approach as you encounter the revised content. Don't hesitate to seek guidance from teachers, mentors, or online communities for clarification or support.

Additional Resources:

  • NTA official website: Download the revised syllabus PDF and stay updated on any further announcements.
  • NCERT website: Access e-books and other resources from NCERT for in-depth subject understanding.
  • Coaching institutes and online platforms: Utilize their expertise and resources to adapt your preparation to the new syllabus.

Conclusion:

The NEET 2024 syllabus changes represent a step towards a more streamlined and focused medical education. While adapting requires dedication and flexibility, remember that this is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of core concepts and prepare for a successful career in medicine. Stay informed, strategize your preparation, and embrace the change with confidence. The path to your medical dreams awaits, and the revised syllabus is simply a new map to guide you there.
