Teacher Career Path: Education, Skills and Opportunities

A teacher is a person capable of teaching. The teacher is in actual sense regarded as the nation builder. It is possible to state that he is a saviour of the society because he is a crucial part of creating a worthy human being out of an infant. A valuable human being is to the society what a healthy cell is to the human body. When a single cell of the human body begins to fail it is able to kill the entire human body, same is what happens with an unworthy human being. A good teacher or Guru offers this worthiness to a newborn child as it was the case in the old civilization.

The teacher does not just have the duty of giving a student academic knowledge but also instilling in her the concept and virtues of a good human being. There was also the period when this career was respected. Guru / Teacher was even more preferred to the God itself since it is believed that the Guru is only the one who shows us the path to God and it is no less of a fact. It is he who transforms a raw human being into a good human being by imparting right kind of knowledge or defiles a good human being.

This profession has lost its significance in one way or the other even though in this current competitive world the teaching profession has achieved the glory it once had. Generally masses have become aware of the fact that only a good teacher can make his own young ones become true and competitive human being, with his experience, expertise, and knowledge. Thus properly trained teachers would be of utmost importance to guarantee the proper upbringing of the students who will be able to inject training to the younger generation as per their needs and aspirations in the near future.

To raise this younger generation and educate those as per their age and ambition good teachers themselves need another form of knowledge that can be gained through taking various courses that are offered to the upcoming teachers. As more and more of the human activities grow in all corners of the human domain, the demand of the highly informed human resources is growing by the day hence the need of those who are able to generate them i.e. the teachers. As the number of schools is growing, my fold is also growing with the number of sessions required as a teacher.

Therefore there is no lack of field to the individuals in this noble vocation of nation-building as well as their own occupational opportunities.
