Step 1 : Medical Students that have attended or will attend +2 exams (Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the primary subjects) are required to take an Medical Entrance Tests administered by the various state and independent authorities such as PMT, available to Punjab Government and CBSE-PMT (Pre Medical Test) available to the Central board to accept the candidates in various medical institutions affiliated with it that offer the MBBS degree course.

The students are to take Entrance Exam Conducted by respective institutes separately in order to take admission in Top Medical Colleges such as AIIMS, GMCH, AFMC Pune etc.

Step 2 : Having completed MBBS degree course and one year plus six months mandatory training the hopeful students would have to enroll in M.D (Endocrinology) - Master's degree in Endocrinology - must requirement to practice as an Endocrinologist.

  • The future MBBS doctors are required to take entrance exams such as- Post Graduate Medical Entrance Tests.
  • All India Post Graduate Medical/Dental Entrance Exam.
  • Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research Entrance Exam.
  • Nevertheless, there are also cases when the institutes decide to accept the admission on the bases of the marks got in MBBS course and the working experience of the candidates.

Step 3 : Upon successful completion of 2 years of DM (Endocrinology) course and obtaining the necessary registration by the Medical Council of India the aspiring Endocrinology can receive employment opportunities in the reputable Government as well as the Private Hospitals such as the AIIMS etc. An endocrinologist is also in a position to establish their own Clinic and offer services to the patients.
